We can certainly dissect this problem metaphysically (How evil is a privation - it doesn't have its own existence - and occurs when something doesn't follow the end (teleology) that it is supposed to. In our case, we experience suffering when we don't follow God and avoid sin.), but he goes about it the obviously Christian way. Christ experienced suffering too, and conquered it!
